The University Collection
Yes, all rings are paid in full at the time of purchase. We have partnered with companies such as Affirm and ShopPay that allow you finance your order. Find out more here: Affirm - How It Works
Affirm Rates from 0–36% APR. Payment options through Affirm are subject to an eligibility check and are provided by these lending partners: affirm.com/lenders. Options depend on your purchase amount, and a down payment may be required. CA residents: Loans by Affirm Loan Services, LLC are made or arranged pursuant to a California Finance Lenders Law license. For licenses and disclosures, see affirm.com/licenses. For example, a $800 purchase could be split into 12 monthly payments of $72.21 at 15% APR or 4 interest free payments of $200 every 2 weeks.
We have several payment options available that include cash, credit cards, and financing options including Affirm. Please see your cart at checkout for all available payment options or use the Contact Us Page to inquire about more payment options.
Since all of our university rings are custom, price is determined by a few things: the TOP STYLE (19 options), SEAL SIZE (10mm, 12mm, 12x10mm), BAND STYLE (11 options) and STONE TYPE (cubic zirconias, lab grown diamonds, earth mined diamonds). Prices on all University products also include all royalties and fees that must be paid to schools.

You can order your custom university ring online, over the phone, in person at our Waco store, OR through a virtual appointment!
Cutoff Dates For Graduation:
- March 1st for May graduation
- October 1st for December graduation
Any orders placed after these dates can not be guaranteed for delivery by graduation.
Our custom university rings take an average of 8-10 weeks to complete and 3-5 business days to ship. It's essential to keep this timeline in mind when ordering your ring. If you need to have your ring by a specific date, be sure to allow enough time for it to be built and shipped. We do not rush any orders, and we are only able to ship or hand out orders that have been paid in full.
Your custom university ring will take an average of 8-10 weeks to complete. You will get an email and a phone call from one of our associates when your ring is complete, and we will confirm your shipping address. Once shipping information is confirmed, and the ring is paid in full, it will ship within 3-5 business days. You can also pick up your ring in our Waco store if you'd prefer!
All of our custom university rings are handcrafted with solid 14K gold or Platinum Silver (noted in description). Our yellow gold, white gold and rose gold colors are achieved through precise combinations of various metal alloys to get the perfect shade. Depending on what you choose, your ring might also include cubic zirconias, lab grown diamonds or earth mined diamonds. Our genuine diamonds come in SI1 clarity and GH color.
Your custom 14k gold university ring comes with a lifetime warranty, which covers stone loss, basic repairs, resizing and cleaning/polishing. The lifetime warranty does not cover rings that are lost, stolen or irreparable (damaged to the point where our jewelers would have to completely rebuild the ring). Yes! For 2mm stones, we offer a wide range of colors including Red, Blue, Yellow, Green, Purple, Orange, Black and Maroon. Each ring style comes with different colored stone pattern options.
You can come into our store and have your ring professionally cleaned and polished for free! Or, you can clean your ring at home using this simple method:
- Mix a few drops of dish soap with warm water.
- Let your ring sit in the mixture for 5 minutes.
- Using an old toothbrush, scrub your ring thoroughly.
- Rinse your ring with water and leave to air dry.
If you don't see your university listed on our website, it means that we are not currently licensed to make jewelry for that school. If you're still interested in a university ring or pendant from San Jose, email our licensing manager at lic@sanjosewaco.com!
Cubic zirconias are made of a glass-like material, that is softer than a genuine diamond. Cubic zirconias are beautiful, while still being very budget-friendly. Please note that cubic zirconias are likely to chip and lose their brilliance over time with everyday wear. Lab grown diamonds are identical to earth mined diamonds in shape, size, color and clarity. The only difference is that lab diamonds are grown in a man-made environment, over a shorter period of time, which makes them more affordable. The lab diamond is undeniably stunning and sure to last a lifetime. Earth mined diamonds are known for their extreme hardness, unmatched brilliance and sentimental value. These stones are formed underground over millions of years, and carry their own unique colors and inclusions. Due to the intense mining process, this option sits at the top of our price list. Much like the lab grown diamond, this natural beauty will last a lifetime.
If we have released a new seal design for your school or graduated from a different school in which we are licensed and want to have the new seal put into your existing San Jose University Collection ring, we can change your seal for the following cost:
Single Tone Seal
- $150.00 - We keep the original seal in your ring.
- $250.00 - You keep the original seal cut out of your ring.
Two Tone Seal (where available)
- $250.00 - We keep the original seal in your ring.
- $350.00 - You keep the original seal cut out of your ring.
Please note that this option is only available to the original purchaser of the ring.
If keeping the original seal, please note that the original seal may have some signs of removal.
Shipping & Returns
Due to the nature of our custom-made products, we are not able to accept returns. However, your ring can be used as a gold credit towards a new order.

Yes orders can be canceled. All collegiate rings and pendants have a 10% cancelation fee if canceled within the first 30 days. If canceled after 30 days, there will be a 30% cancelation fee. This is because royalty/licensing, materials, and labor fees are incurred at the first stage of the purchase and are not refundable. The one exclusion to these products is in-stock stainless and sterling pendants.

San Jose Jewelers is committed to delivering your order in a timely manner. Orders can take 2-3 days to arrive after being shipped.
San Jose Jewelers offers free Fedex Express shipping on all orders over $99. All orders over $500 ship signature required.
For your protection, San Jose Jewelers always insures shipments for their full value. Additionally, we require that all shipments are made to a physical business or home address only. We do not ship to P.O. box or APO addresses.
